Camden was born 24 weeks premature and had a 4% survival rate. He is now two and a half years old. To say it was a hard start of life for him and his twin brother, Brayden, is an understatement. Making it out of the hospital was an amazing moment for Camden and his family. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and started attending Easter Seals when he was one. He received services for developmental therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy and also works on his vision.
Having such a traumatic start to your son’s life is scary. Camden’s mom states, “You want your child to live an amazing life and when they have special needs you worry about how to make that happen.”
Camden’s biggest struggle is mobility. It is hard for him to move and play. Through therapy, Camden and his family have learned different exercises to help him with his mobility. Easter Seals has also helped Camden get the appropriate equipment he needs.
Camden has been a fighter ever since the moment he was born. He continues to work hard in his therapy sessions and set goals for his future. This is what makes Camden a Champion of his own abilities!
The most important thing Camden’s mom wants him to know:
“That no matter what nothing is impossible!”
