About Easter Seals
Easter
Seals Central Illinois is a leader in specialized pediatric care and in autism
services. Treatments or therapy is a broad array of evaluations and on-going
service to help children learn to function more independently in their own
environments. All treatment and intervention services are based on focused,
functional outcomes, or clear statements about skills and activities that reflect
the changes that a family wants to see in a child as a result of therapy.
Functional outcomes are designed to maximize a child’s practical skills such as
movement, eating, communicating, getting dressed, interacting with others, or
joining in family and community activities. Functional outcomes provide a clear
focus and direction for all types of interventions. Easter Seals provides
services to children with autism, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, Down syndrome,
other nervous system issues and a variety of other diagnoses.

ABOUT THE WALK |
Walk With Me: A Walk With Champions is an initiative that acts as an engagement platform to the community at-large to reach a fundraising goal for the 2015 Champion Campaign ($200,000) participation and awareness of Easter Seals through a variety of strategies. The most common strategy is the recruitment and engagement of Team Captains. Team Captains are the conduit to broad community connections, working to motivate others to come to Walk With Me, the culminating event, or to assist in reaching the fundraising goal. |
